Southwestern has 69 student-athletes earn SCAC Academic Honor Roll honors

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll today for the 2013 fall term and 443 student-athletes made the list including 69 Pirates.

Southwestern was second in the report, trailing only Trinity (97). Men's soccer led the charge in shear numbers, posting 21 student-athletes on the report, while volleyball won the percentage battle with 70.6% of their team earning SCAC Academic Honor Roll honors.

Since its inception in the fall of 1997, just over 21,500 male and female student-athletes have been recognized for their contributions in the classroom.

To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference.
