Shea earns second SCAC Player of the Week honor

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – For the second time this year, Southwestern University wide receiver Colten Shea was named SCAC Offensive Player of the Week announced by the league Monday.

Shea helped the Pirates overcome a 14-point deficit Saturday, as he finished with three touchdowns and 175 yards receiving on 13 catches. The first-year receiver finished with 258 all-purpose yards – his second game over 200 yards this season – as his three scores was one shy of tying a SCAC single-game record.

The Georgetown native is the second Pirate to win player of the week honors as he helped Southwestern to a season-high 357 yards passing. First-year linebacker Tyler Frisby claimed honors in week two after Shea earned player of the week accolades in week one.

Southwestern returns to action this week at Austin College in a battle of teams looking for their first win of the 2013 season. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
