Southwestern knocks off Colorado 74-61 on senior night

GEORGETOWN, Texas – Four seniors played their final regular season home game tonight and they emerged with the win over Colorado College.

Southwestern had a 12 point advantage at the half, 38-26, and led by as many as 14 in the first half.

The Tigers clawed their way back, pulling within four points with just under ten minutes to play. It was a six point game with three minutes remaining then Chris Molina's three pointer kicked off a rally that saw Southwestern extend their lead to 12, 68-56, before closing out the win.

Ben Stiver led Southwestern with 19 points and ten rebounds, going 7-10 from the floor and 4-5 from three point range. Chris Molina added 13 points, Zach Whitlock 12 and Joel Martinez 10. SU committed just nine turnovers in the win and were +5 on the glass.

The Pirates (12-11, 7-5) locked up the #4 seed in the SCAC Championship with tonight's win. They close the regular season on the road, facing Texas Lutheran on Friday at 7:30 pm.
