Ogden nets 1000th career point in loss to Trinity

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Ryan Ogden became Southwestern's first 1000 career point scorer since 2005-06 with a 16 point performance against Trinity Friday evening.

Southwestern led by 13 at halftime, 40-27, but fortunes reversed in the second half as Trinity opened the frame on a 20-7 run to take the lead for the first time with 11 minutes to go. SU led by two with just over five minutes to play but then went cold just as the Tigers got hot again and stole the win, 73-62.

Ogden led Southwestern with 16 points while Luke Hicks added 11. Zach Whitlock notched a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Southwestern's five-game win streak is snapped in the loss as they drop to 11-10 overall and 6-4 in conference play. They next face Schreiner on Saturday night in Kerrville.
