GEORGETOWN, Texas – Five Pirates scored in double figures as Southwestern took down Centenary College Friday night in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action.
Southwestern shot 54.5% from the field and 46.2% from three point range in the first half but took just a five point advantage into halftime, 50-45.
Offenses cooled in the second half but Southwestern maintained the lead the entire way, closing out the game from the free throw line by going 6-8 down the stretch.
SU shot 47.5% from the floor and 35% from three point range and was led by Ryan Ogden who posted his fourth double-double of the season with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Ben Stiver added 19 points, Luke Hicks 13, Chris Molina 11 and Zach Whitlock 10.
Southwestern improves to 10-9 on the year and 5-3 in SCAC play. They look to keep their win streak alive on Saturday as they host Austin College for a 6 pm tip.
