Hot shooting Stags defeat Pirates 101-56

CLAREMONT, Calif. – Claremont-Mudd-Scripps shot 63.5% from the field and 57.1% from three point range to defeat Southwestern in their final game in California on Saturday.

CMS jumped out to an early lead 16-5 and extended their lead to 17 with just under five minutes to play, sending the Pirates into the locker room down 15, 47-32.

Southwestern's hole continued to get deeper throughout the second half as CMS cruised to the win.

Connor Kim led the Pirates with 16 points on 6-7 shooting from the field. Ryan Ogden added 10.

Southwestern collected just 19 rebounds in the loss compared to CMS' 37.

The Pirates drop to 2-3 on the year and next head to Brownwood on Tuesday evening to face Howard Payne University at 7:30 pm.
