NABC Announces 2015-16 Team Academic Excellence Awards and Honors Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) today announced the fourth annual Team Academic Excellence Awards and Honors Court, created by the NABC Committee on Academics.

The Academic Excellence Awards recognize outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2015-16 season. Honors Court honorees must be a junior or senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. 

Ben Stiver, Joshua Dale and Nnamdi Akabogu earned the honor this season.

In order to earn a NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, institutions in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA Division I and II, must count the grade point averages of all men's student-athletes who competed during the 2015-16 season.
