Men’s basketball wins third straight SCAC contest

SHERMAN, Texas – Southwestern outscored Austin College 47-30 in the second half to take an 89-71 SCAC win Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Austin College shot 53.1% from the floor in the first half but trailed Southwestern by one, 42-41 at the break.
  • Paced by Zachary Whitlock's 14 second half points SU shot 48.3% from the floor and 37.5% from three point range while holding the 'Roos below 40% from the floor Southwestern closed out the game for the win.
