GEORGETOWN, Texas – Southwestern held a stout UT Dallas offense to their second lowest point total of the season but ultimately fell 50-44.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After taking a brief lead midway through the first half, Illinois Wesleyan went on a 11-2 run and took a 12 point lead into the locker room, 51-39.
- Southwestern evened the score at 64 on Connor Kim's three with 8:42 remaining, capping off a 15-5 run.
- The Pirates were unable to take the lead and went five minutes without a field goal to fall behind by nine, 77-68.
- SU never got closer than five points the rest of the way as IWU secured the game on the free throw line.
