GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern Baseball (3-4) traveled north in an early week game to take on the University of Texas - Dallas Comets (6-1) at UTD Baseball Field on Tuesday. The Pirates, looking to bounce back after four losses to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, fell just short, defeated by the Comets 3-1.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Alexander Cannata came away from the contest with two hits in three at-bats.
- Jacob Tanner drove in the Pirate's lone RBI of the game.
- Jake Harris recorded two hits and one run scored off of Tanner's sac fly.
NOTES
- Garrett Guinn threw five strikeouts and no earned runs in three innings pitched.
- Pirate pitchers allowed seven walks compared to one from the Comets.

- Pirate Baseball travels south to Trinity University next week where they will face DeSales on March 4th at 5:00 PM. Southwestern will also host its annual alumni game on March 2nd at 2:00 PM at Rockwell Family Field.
