Baseball Falls in Final Game to Stags

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern Baseball (3-3) came into the final game of four contests with the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags (6-0) having lost the three previous matchups against CMS. The Pirate faired no better in their last game of the weekend, being taken down by the Stags with a final score of 19-5.

 

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Liam Stonestreet started behind home plate for the Pirates and scored one run, one walk, and one RBI in three at-bats.
  • Kyle Porter scored a run and one stolen base, with Maxwell Mims and Cam Roberson also stealing bases. 
  • Jake Harris scored one run with one third-base hit. 
  • Five different Pirates notched RBIs in the game.

NOTES

  • Southwestern totaled five double-plays on defense in the four-game series. 
  • The Stags scored runs in five straight innings against the Pirates.
  • The Pirates left 11 runners on base compared to the Stags 10.
