Southwestern unable to overcome deficit in loss to Centenary

SHREVEPORT, La. - Southwestern fell behind 4-0 midway through the contest and were unable to make up the ground, falling 6-1 Thursday night. 

The game was scoreless through three innings but Centenary posted three runs in the fourth, one in the fifth and one in the sixth while holding the Pirates scoreless. 

Jason McCormack led offensively, going 2-4 from the plate while Austin Smith had one RBI. 

Colton Hunter garnered the loss in 7.2 innings of work while Kaleb Kirk earns the win. 

The two teams square off for a double-header on Friday beginning at 1 pm.
