The SU Pirates take early lead in 6-3 win over Wesleyan College

Six first-inning runs helped the SU Pirates to a 6-3 win over Wesleyan College at Keno Sports Complex. Tucson, Az. on Tuesday.

The SU Pirates scored in the first on a groundout by Chase Allen, an RBI double by Robert Wehman, a walk by Ryan Jackson, and a three-run double by Jared Bogosian.

Noah Clark recorded the win for the SU Pirates. He allowed three runs over four innings. Clark struck out one, walked four and gave up three hits.

Asher Young ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in one-third of an inning, walked one and struck out none.

Three runs in the top of the third helped Wesleyan College close its deficit to 6-3. An RBI double by Ellis Schaefer, a groundout by Donnie Cimino, and an error gave Wesleyan College life. Finally, Clark got Marco Baratta to fly out to end the threat.
