Marcom named SCAC Pitcher of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Brett Marcom was named SCAC Pitcher of the Week announced by the league office Monday after tossing a no-hitter over the weekend.

Marcom threw a seven inning no-hitter Saturday afternoon facing just three batters over the minimum for his second win of the year and gave Southwestern their first SCAC victory of the year over Schreiner.

He recorded five strikeouts and just two walks for the complete game shutout.

For Marcom, it was his second win of the season to go to 2-3 and his first complete game shutout of his young career. He leads the team with 17 strikeouts on the year.
