GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Pirates lost 12-0 to Sul Ross State on a strong performance by pitcher Anthony Trevino and the Lobos defense on Sunday.

Sul Ross State pitcher Anthony Trevino pitched a no-hitter for his first win of the year (1-1).  He struck out three batters in the eight inning complete game.  Southwestern put a lot of balls in play, but the Lobos defense was up to the task and continued to get outs.

The Pirates did have base runners in the 5th and 8th innings, which stemmed from a hit by pitch and a pair of walks.  However, they were unable to string them together and get anything going offensively.

Southwestern's loss puts them at 2-23 on the season and Sul Ross State goes to 9-12.

The Pirates will now be back on the road again for the next two weeks. Their next game is at Texas Lutheran University, this Tuesday March 19th at 2:00PM.
