SUWANEE, Ga. - Max Smith, a sophomore right-hander from FortWorth, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Baseball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday March 26 through Sunday, April 1.

Smith was nearly untouchable on the mound this week with a 0.64 ERA in 14 innings of action over three appearances.

He recorded both of Southwestern's wins this week allowing two runs, one earned, on nine hits while walking none and striking out 10.

Against Austin College on Sunday, Smith threw complete game gem as he struck out seven and scattered seven hits while allowing just one unearned run in the Pirates' 2-1 win.

Southwestern currently sits at 8-19 on the year and 4-7 against SCAC opponents. They return home to face Trinity in a three-game series starting with a double header on Friday at noon.
