SUWANEE, Ga. - Sophomore right-hander Chris Webber has been selected as the SCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played Monday, March 8 through Sunday, March 14.

Webber, from Mesquite, Texas, threw a fantastic game against Hendrix, taking 3-1 complete game win. He threw seven innings and did not allow an earned run while scattering six hits and striking our six batters and walking just one in seven innings of work.

On the year, Webber is 1-3 with a 4.37 earned run average in seven appearances (six starts) with 23 strike-outs in 35 innings of work.

The Pirates begin a long home stretch on Tuesday facing UT-Dallas at 2:00 and continue with a night game against Cardinal Stritch and finish the week host Austin College for an SCAC match-up on Saturday and Sunday.
