The men's and women's tennis teams continued their action at the
SCAC Tournament on Saturday with match-ups against Colorado
College. The men fell 6-3 while the women lost 7-2. 
The Pirate men started off well taking two of the three doubles matches. The duo of Alex Lam and Charles Prince defeated Soloman/Burt 8-5 and CJ Esquivel and Nick Parker took a barn-burner over Thirkell/Jonker 9-7.
In the singles action, Lam was the only Pirate to take his match. Lam defeated Burt 6-3, 0-6, 6-4. D'Artagnan Bebel forced a third set in the fifth flight but ultimately fell 6-, 3-6, 6-4 to Colorado's Modern.
The doubles matches on the women's side didn't fall the Pirates' way with the exception of Charlotte Huskey and Sarah Fitzsimmons' match where they outlasted CC's Smith/Thirkel and won 9-8 (12-10). Jessica Gaines and Lali Satyavada narrowly fell to Bryan/Yamamoto 8-6.
Satyavada built off her doubles action and was the lone Pirate to take a singles match. She defeated Yamamoto in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. Fitzsimmons won the second set 7-5 after falling 4-6 in the first to force a third set, but was barely beat 10-8.
Both teams will play again on Sunday morning at 11:30 am for seventh place at the Championships.
