GEORGETOWN, Texas – Southwestern Athletic Communications Director Megan Hardin resigned her position effective August 14th after 12 years at Southwestern to become the Associate Athletic Director of Marketing and Communications at St. Edward's University.
"Southwestern will always hold a very special place in my heart," said Hardin. "I am so appreciative to Dr. Munt and the entire SU community for their guidance and support during my time. The experience I have gained under the mentorship of Dr. Munt and the athletic department is invaluable. I am confident Southwestern will continue to flourish under the leadership of Dr. Burger and through the outstanding faculty, staff and students at the university."
Hardin spent the last nine years as the Athletics Communications Director. During her tenure Hardin guided the department through a new website platform, multiple website redesigns and the addition of four new sports including the reinstatement of football after a 63-year hiatus. She was also involved in the redesign of the athletic logo and launched the social media accounts and merchandise site.
A nationwide-search will begin immediately for a new Athletics Communications Director.
