GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Breanna Steele, a sophomore from Happy Valley, Ore., has been selected the SCAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 25 through Sunday, March 31. 

Steele was the top D3 athlete in both the 800 meters and the 1500 meters at the competitive Texas State Bobcat Relays. In the 800, she ran a personal best  (2:18.37) and reset her own school record she established just last week. The time is also good for 24th on the national rankings. In the 1500, Steele won her heat  against D1 competition and set a new PR by five seconds (4:48.35). She was also on the 4x400 squad, which ran a season-best time of 4:06.82.
